More and more hospitals in Europe now offer PIPAC. In Greece, REGER supported a two-day workshop at the IASO Clinic in Maroussi near Athens, where doctors from five Greek centres learned the method and saw it in practice.
Day 1: Theory and exchange
The workshop opened with a theoretical session led by Dr. Andreas Larentzakis. Afterwards, participants talked shop over dinner.
Day 2: Live PIPAC in the operating theatre
On the second day, the group moved to the operating theatre. Three PIPAC procedures were shown live: two with the QuattroJet and one with the Nebulizer. The PowerInjector was used under real operating conditions.
Certificates and outlook
The event ran smoothly and participants gave very positive feedback. All of them received their certificates from REGER and Dr. Larentzakis.
We are glad to see the PIPAC workshop in Herne having an effect, with Dr. Larentzakis now building up PIPAC therapy in Greece. Congratulations to everyone involved in Athens.
